Hollyhocks, or the joy of pilfering seeds

Stealing an entire plant is wrong, wrong, wrong. However, a seed pod in a parking strip is fair game. That’s how I obtained hollyhock seeds from the corner of 16th and San Carlos Street. At six feet high, my three hollyhocks show no sign of slowing down. Their parent plants have already bloomed and look in really sorry shjape. Mine have leaves the size of platters.
